The Aqua Master pH calibration fluid 4,01 is a solution for calibrating and adjusting household and gardening pH meters. pH meters must be calibrated regularly, otherwise the device may show incorrect values. Weekly calibration is recommended for regular daily use. Close immediately after use. Store between 15-25°C. Do not pour the liquid back. The pH calibration solution is required for pH measuring instruments.

Usage
The measuring instrument must be placed in the given pH solution, which measures the potential developed between the pH and reference electrodes and saves its value in its memory. After that, the electrodes must be placed in a solution with a different pH value and the potential measured again and saved in its memory. From these 2 measurements, the instrument can now calculate the pH value of the solution from the potential measured in any other solution. Buffer solutions must be used for calibration, the pH values of which are precisely known (e.g. pH = 4.01, pH = 6.86, pH = 9.18). For accurate measurements, at least 2-point calibration must be performed. The majority of horticultural pH measurements are made between pH 5-7, so we recommend calibrating with buffers with pH = 6.86 and pH = 4.01.
