Milwaukee EC meter calibration fluid (1413 / 12880 uS/cm) description

Milwaukee EC meter calibration fluid (1413 / 12880 uS/cm) is a solution used to calibrate and adjust household and horticultural EC meters. EC meters are typically used in agriculture and horticulture, and are also suitable for determining the purity of water, e.g. in aquaristics.

Use

Meters are usually still calibrated by the manufacturers at the factory, but the factory setting may change over time. Therefore, it is necessary to calibrate the instrument before the measurements. A calibration solution must be used for this. To begin, it is advisable to rinse the instrument electrode with unsalted RO water. The EC value of the fluid can then be measured to show the accuracy of the instrument. If the deviation value is greater than the instrument accuracy, calibration is required. After calibration, the instrument will measure more accurately (1-2% deviation is acceptable). It can also be used as a solution for TDS meters.

The EC calibration solution is required for EC measuring instruments.
